Kyrewood Equestrian Centre was founded in 1968 as a riding school aimed mainly at children. From these humble beginnings, the school has developed into the busy equestrian centre and training facility of today.
As a conservative estimate, over 5,000 people have learnt equestrian skills at Kyrewood, many of whom have gone on to excel in fields such as showjumping, eventing, polo and racing.
The Directors, Fred and Pauline Gorton, have been active in many facets of the equestrian world and it was this involvement that led them to conceive and develop Kyrewood Equestrian Centre.
The tutors at Kyrewood are headed by Senara Caddy, BHS II, a former tutor at England’s Duchy College at Cornwall, and Matthew Hobbs, BHS AI, an experienced showjumping rider, also from England. They bring qualifications, experience and professionalism to the Kyrewood team.
