As a conservative estimate, over 5,000 people have learnt equestrian skills at Kyrewood, many of whom have gone on to excel in fields such as showjumping, eventing, polo and racing.

The Directors, Fred and Pauline Gorton, have been active in many facets of the equestrian world and it was this involvement that led them to conceive and develop Kyrewood Equestrian Centre.

The tutors at Kyrewood include Rachel Rae, an Equestrian Sport New Zealand Development Coach; Senara Caddy, BHS II, a former tutor at England’s Duchy College at Cornwall, and Pavel Alexandrov, a Russian by birth who holds a Diploma from the Marcus Oldham Equestrian College in Australia. They bring qualifications, experience and professionalism to the Kyrewood team.
